Joint 2nd Laboratory WG meeting and Final Workshop FAO TCP H1N1 Surveillance Project

The Sub-regional Coordinator of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Barbados, the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat and the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD) are organising the 2nd meeting of the CaribVET Laboratory, Quality Assurance and Diagnosis Working Group. This meeting will be held on September 10th at the Princess Hotel.

This meeting of the Laboratory WG of CaribVET is held jointly with the Final Workshop of the FAO TCP H1N1 surveillance project, to be held on 11th and 12th September 2012 at the same venue.




The aim of the WG Meeting is to further develop the work plan for 2012-2013 and will include discussions on the following topics: update and issues of proficiency testing and inter-lab assays; inter-regional shipment of veterinary diagnostic samples; the Regional EU funded Sanitary and Phyto-sanitary (SPS) Project; IATA training update for veterinary laboratory staff; developing a Laboratory Quality Assurance Programme; regional lab accreditation report from CROSQ and training for laboratory staff.
