The CaribVET Steering Committee meeting is promoted this year as a Vet 2011 event, celebrating our veterinary profession for the 250th world anniversary of the veterinary education.

"A hearty welcome to all our members and invited guests to CaribVET’s annual meeting of the Steering Committee. We extend a special welcome to our members representing their country/territory/organization for the first time. CaribVET has managed to embody the “One Caribbean, One Health” identity while maintaining our rich cultural and language diversity. This year is a momentous year for the global veterinary fraternity as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the veterinary profession. How appropriate that the Caribbean veterinary fraternity represented by CaribVET honour the Vet 2011 anniversary celebrations by hosting our annual meeting in Guadeloupe! We wish you all a fruitful and successful steering committee meeting and an enjoyable stay in Guadeloupe".

Victor Gongora, Chair of CaribVET.
